Description

Manage your WiFi at home or away on the Deco app, including seeing all connected devices, prioritizing your own, setting up a guest network, and more.

I wish everything you could do in the mobile apps would also be accessible through the panel, because it is a bit silly that I still have to reach for my phone or tablet if my PC is sitting in front of me. Avira has a partnership with TP-Link to provide cloud security for routers, but there's no explanation in the app that this is happening, nor is there an option to turn off the data transmissions.Identifies IoT devices, such as cameras to block all potential security holes and protect your privacy.

Netgear also makes the Nighthawk MK83, which contains a router and two nodes with AX3600 speeds matching the Deco X68, though quite a bit more expensive. However, you're still limited to one port on the base station, since one of them is used for connecting to your ISP's modem/router.Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. The only problem with HomeShield is HomeCare which came with most of the same features but was completely free. A firmware update is in the works that will turn this functionality off if no Avira network features are enabled in the app, but there is no estimated timeline for that yet.

This problem is hardly limited to the Deco X68, though — Google and Eero's mesh Wi-Fi systems don't have a web interface at all. Note that it's unrealistic to expect the advertised top WiFi speeds in your home, but the units are plenty fast enough for most and provide performance to match / exceed many of the more expensive offerings. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice. The system supports up to 150 devices with MU-MIMO technology allowing for simultaneous communication with multiple devices to help ensure smooth 4K video streaming, online games, and more. Finally, the X68 remains an option - older model, but it is tri-band, with two 5 Ghz streams with one as backhaul, but the overall download speeds are lower than the XE75 and the X80.If TP-Link addresses the excessive data transmission (and perhaps improve the app's interface), the Deco X68 would be easy to recommend. The TP-Link Deco X68 is a great fit for someone that needs coverage for a large home and will even keep up with a gigabit fiber connection. I use NextDNS to monitor internet traffic on my home network, which shows the Deco X68 is sending network requests to domains owned by Avira almost every minute — NextDNS recorded over 42,000 queries in just 24 hours.
