Probably the most authentic dish recognised, originating deep in the Indian suburbs, marinated in a sauce and individually cooked in an Indian style wok with onions, capsicum and coriander. The reason why I've dropped two stars is because I would have liked to see more Desi sweets and dessert/pudding recipes. This book is such a lovely thing, yes it’s an amazing collection of original and innovative recipes of course, but the rich cultural and historical journey it takes you on is a real delight too.After her TV debut on BBC One's 'Britain's Best Home Cook', Sarah Woods left her corporate role at a leading pharmaceutical company to pursue a career in food. The Indian diaspora arrived in the UK from places with utterly different local cuisines and there is no such thing as 'Indian' food!Despite a number of last minute changes , JJs were extremely welcoming in inviting us to their restaurant.
