About this deal

Lightning McQueen's nightmare about Frank is the first depiction of vehicle destruction in the Cars franchise. It has also been noted that the plot of Cars bears a striking resemblance to that of Doc Hollywood, the 1991 romantic comedy which stars Michael J. Fox as a hotshot young doctor, who, after causing a traffic accident in a small town, is sentenced to work at the town hospital, falls in love with a local law student and eventually acquires an appreciation for small-town values. In Lightning's dream about a "Lightning Storm" film, a car gets zapped by a tripod sparkplug bot and emits the Wilhelm scream. The Wilhelm scream is a sound effect used in many movies, including the original Star Wars film.

In Disneytoon Studios' Planes, some tractors appear on the fields during Dusty's training montage. When Ishani is later talking to Dusty in India, a tractor passes them. During their journey to the Taj Mahal, they fly over a few fields full of tractors. In Cars Toon: Mater's Tall Tales (video game), tractors make appearances in the minigames related to Unidentified Flying Mater. When Luigi explains to Sally that he has tires at his store, the DVD and Blu-ray subtitles mistakenly don't capitalize the t in "tires". In Radiator Springs Racers, Sheriff asks Mater to take the riders to the big race. Mater takes them tractor tipping, but then they wake up Frank and run away into Radiator Springs to get ready for the race. The tractors make another appearance in Cars 3, [3] where McQueen and Cruz Ramirez drive through a stampede of them.Frank is an XXL MetroActual Combine, which resembles a Case IH Axial-Flow 7010 Combine, Massey Ferguson 31XP, Fahr M1600 Hydromat and Bizon Z060 Gigant. He has a large blade attached to his front, used for cutting crops, and can supposedly cut cars to pieces, although the only evidence of this was seen in one of Lightning McQueen's dreams, and the blade will only slightly bump the player in Cars: The Videogame and Cars: Mater-National Championship. Attached to his roof are two horns, and his nose features a ring, making him closely resemble a bull, much like his behavior.

Tractors' jobs are to plow Ornament Valley's fields under custody of Frank, who assists them and watches over them to make sure that they are being productive and do not stray off-task.In Mater and the Ghostlight, Mater zooms past some tractors in Frank's field when he thinks he is being chased by the Ghostlight. Mater's screaming causes them to tip. At the tie-breaking race at the Los Angeles International Speedway, while three fighter jets pass over the stadium, Pixar Animation Studios can be seen among the nearby buildings, although the real studio is located at Emeryville, near San Francisco, and not at Los Angeles. Jeremy Piven (US) and Jeremy Clarkson (UK) as Harv (To complete the cast, all they needed was the UK voice of Jeremy Clarkson who wants to fit in within the World of Cars to make it sound very unique for British viewers).

During the end credits, car-stylised versions of Toy Story, A Bug's Life, and Monsters, Inc. are seen playing at the Radiator Springs Drive-In Theatre. Coco: Miguel Rivera • Héctor • Dante • Imelda • Pepita • Alebrije Dante • Disguised Miguel • Ernesto • Mama Coco During the shot of the crash behind the hood of Brush Curber, we see Rusty Cornfuel hit Brush in the rear and Rusty turns sideways. But the next scene shows Rusty driving straight. On average, it took 17 hours to render each frame of the film. In addition, it was the first Pixar film to use ray-tracing to accurately create the reflections on the cars.

In Planes, some tractors appear on the fields during Dusty's training montage. When Ishani is later talking to Dusty in India, a tractor passes them. During their journey to the Taj Mahal, they fly over a few fields full of tractors. All of the Tractors seen throughout the Cars series all share the same make model. They are a Holstein Heifer Chewall Diesel Powered. Their liveries can vary between many different paint schemes, the most common being pink with brown spots and slight hints of rust. Another livery that tractors can be seen in is a much whiter color, with the same brown spots and slight hints of rust.Lightning McQueen • Mater • Sally • Ramone • Luigi • Flo • Fillmore • Guido • Sheriff • Red • Laura • Randy • Lisa & Louise • Wraith Rod • Gearsten Marshall • Marc Sondtimer • Nile Speedcone • Lou • Peggy Liner • Revo Kos • Royce Revsley • Datz Jammin • Noriyuki • Sarah Coggs • Todd • Speed Demon • Ivy • Blind Spot • Broadside • Taco • Haul Em' Haynes • Kay Pillar-Durev • Mae Pillar-Durev • Circus Stunt Biplane • Circus Stunt Performer • Greebles • Claire Gunz'er • Roadette Marker • Kelly Beambright • Phil • Gary • Adam Roadriguez • Bella Cadavre • Producer • Lance the Writer • 2nd AC • 1st AD • Carbarians • Cap'n Long Leggy • Chieftess • Jeremy • Cruz Ramirez • Mato • Mateo Toy Story: Woody • Buzz Lightyear • Alien • Jessie • Bullseye • Bo Peep • Forky • Rex • Duke Caboom • Hamm • Mrs. Nesbit • Zurg • Lotso • Platinum Woody • Bunny • Stinky Pete • Fluorite Buzz Lightning McQueen's initial frustrations with being in Radiator Springs, and then gradually warming up to the town as he learns about it later on, is strongly reminiscent of Dr. Joel Fleishman and his experiences in Cicely, Alaska, from the TV series Northern Exposure. In 2001, the movie's working title was Route 66 (after U.S. Route 66), but in 2002, the title was changed to prevent people from thinking it was related to the 1960 television show with the same name. In addition, Lightning McQueen's number was originally going to be 57 (Lasseter's birth year) but was changed to 95 (the year Toy Story was released).
