The steelbook included a 4k bluray and 2k bluray. The 4k bluray has Dolby vision and 5.1 audio, it also has special features. The 2k bluray had 5.1 audio but only includes the movie with no special features. From what I gather this is an older bluray release as the menu is different and the old Miramax logo comes up. While this is not a UHD that is going to blow everyone away with a "wow" factor, it is a very stable and healthy image and one that offers a Maynard, Zed and Marsellus, Jimmy (entirely), Fabienne (entirely), and Vincent/Butch and the toaster. Paramount has released the long-anticipated UHD for the classic 1994 film 'Pulp Fiction,' directed by Quentin Tarantino and starring John Travolta

For those not familiar with the details regarding Ultra HD Blu-ray you can refer to my article that includes some pertinent data on the subject. Here is the link:within the diner, even the warmly bathed low light shots in the bar where Marsellus meets with Butch -- look very prominent, healthy, and appealing. The Dolby Vision color grading offers a quality suite of critical improvements as well. The grading reveals a more vibrant picture overall, with material promised a new transfer on the Blu-ray, what is included appears to be identical to the 2011

Quentin Tarantino, love him or loathe him, is a talented writer and fine director with a few solid films under his belt. Reservoir Dogs introduced the world to Tarantino’s unique dialogue followed by this 1994 gem, Pulp Fiction which accomplished a few things including reigniting John Travolta’s slugging career and showing that Tarantino was hardly a flash in the pan writer/director. Rating Certificate: R (for strong graphic violence and drug use, pervasive strong language and some sexuality) There’s a good selection of extras included, mostly on the Blu-ray, which is the same disc and transfer as old release. We don’t get an audio commentary unfortunately (Tarantino doesn’t seem to be a fan of them, not having done one since the DVD release of Reservoir Dogs), but we do get over 4 hours of extras, including cast interviews, behind the scenes featurettes, critical reaction to the film, marketing materials, and an hour long interview with the man himself.

Side guide

Through nine films now (counting Kill Bill as one), director Quentin Tarantino has taken us on a hard-boiled, blood-soaked tour of his cinematic roots. Since arriving on the scene with Reservoir Dogs in 1992, he’s paid homage to gangster films, samurai revenge epics, HK cinema, spaghetti westerns, exploitation films, and WWII commando actioners. His most recent and arguably most personal work, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, is itself an homage to the place and time of his youth. But of all his films, it’s Pulp Fiction that best represents the Tarantino style in its purest, freest form. boost over the existing Blu-ray, which is included, though sans new transfer as initially advertised. The 2160p resolution offers a tangibly sharper Paramount releases Pulp Fiction to the UHD format with a 2160p/Dolby Vision presentation. This hotly anticipated release will not be

Hands down, this is the best Pulp fiction has looked on home video. Kudos to Paramount Home Entertainment. Hopefully we can expect more of this type of support of the Ultra HD releases from their extensive catalog. Official synopsis: Critics and audiences worldwide hailed PULP FICTION as the star-studded movie that redefined cinema in the 20th century. Pulp Fiction is most decidedly a classic film but, depending on who you talk to, the reaction to it isn’t in line with what we envision when we think of a true “classic”. Be that as it may, there is no doubt that writer/director Quentin Tarantino got it right. Among my favorite films, I love it for its rich, eclectic dialogue, ironic use of humor, and wonderfully infused pop culture/references, that combine with its edgy neo-noir, to make for one of the most entertaining films of the nineties.I love Pulp Fiction for its rich, eclectic dialogue, ironic use of humor, and wonderfully infused pop culture references. The characters are built upon typical criminal archetypes but, are grounded by an enriching level of humanity as seen through the various conversations/monologues and pitch perfect interaction. This is where the film’s best and funniest moments reside.
